Today I am thankful:
For the strength and energy to be able to have a job. There are many who would love to be able to work but can't because of physical, mental, or emotional barriers.
That I earn money at a job, and that it's enough to meet our needs; and some of our wants, too!
For the contentment I feel when I walk in the door after work and am greeted by our dogs and my partner, because I know I am home.

For an extra day off.

Today I am thankful:
For a cool day with just a light breeze; had the windows open and aired out the house for probably the last time until November.
That we didn't have to go anywhere today so stayed home watching movies.

Day 137
Today I am thankful:
That today is only the first day of three days off; I don't have to rush through anything to get it all done before the weekend is over.
For the treasures in my home that have no meaning to anyone but me. I will enjoy them while I have them.
For the treasures that others give or throw away; because they will have a place of honor in my home. And I know the same is true for those items I no longer want or need; they will find a place in someone else's home.

For our annual 'pre-audit' party, er, meeting after work today.
That I have three days to recharge, relax, recuperate, before hitting the ground running again on Tuesday.
For our little group in the office at work; we get along well and can always make each other laugh when we get too serious.

For peace and quiet where I can hear my own thoughts.
That I was able to get out of bed this morning without help.
For sunshine; because even though it's hot here, I am solar-powered so do much better when the sun is shining.
